can i use lapel mics as wireless system for an electric guitar?
i saw a very cheap lapel microphone at a store the other day. i was wondering if i can use it as a wireless system for my guitar.. the lapel is transmitter is run by a 9v battery. and the receiver base is plugged to an ac/dc adapter..
i am wondering of i can use that device to run my electric guitar. and use it to play.
i am looking for concrete answers here., i don't wanna waste my cash.

Can you? Yes. You would need to replace the mic element with a 1/4" plug that will fit your guitar's 1/4" plug.
Do you want to? No. Cheap wireless units will use FM, or some other frequency that can get all sorts of interference. Worse, if you ever get a gig, the lighting and other surroundings can add to that unit getting interference. The result will be static, crosstalk and other radio frequency and electromagnetic interference... there will less chance of interference if you use UHF - full diversity wireless systems. VHF is OK (but not as good as UHF).
Stay away from FM, 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz systems or other shared spectrum and subject to problematic interference.
