Distortion / wind sound when recording with a Studio Projects C1 Condensor microphone?
So I recently got a Studio Projects C1 Condensor Microphone and when ever I turn the input volume up past 8 (around the 3 o'clock area) I get this hissy, windy, distortion.
If the input volume isn't at 8 it's just a little too soft.
Anyone know of any possible causes/solutions to this problem?

Make sure both the "-10 dB and -20 dB pad" switches on the mic are off. That will give the mic maximum output.
Also make sure the "gain" or "trim" setting for the channel that the mic is plugged into on your mixer is set correctly. That is a very important step to getting good sound from any microphone.
