How do I hook up my USB Microphone to my MacBook Pro? Please Read More Details Below Before You Answer.?
I recently purchased an MXL Genesis microphone with a USB adapter to hook to my mac computer. My old Desktop Mac computer did not have any problem hooking up to the mic. I want to use this mic in garageband with the input source being channel 1 and 2 (stereo). Again.. I was able to do that with my old iMac (version 10.4.11.) I had the choice to change the Microphones input source to Mono 1, Mono 2, and Channel 1 and 2 (stereo). Then, I recently purchased a MacBook Pro with the new version of Garageband so I wanted to hook my mic up to the laptop because the new garageband is better and has more stuff you can do with it. BUT. I then did the EXACT same thing when I hooked my mic up to my macbook pro that I did with my old mac.. BUT when I went to change the input source on my macbook pro.. it only let me put it on mono 1. I need to get it on channel 1 and 2 (stereo).. can anybody help? thanks.
