Isp Technologies Decimator Pro Rack G Stereo Noise Reduction $535.5 The Decimator ProRackG stereo guitar noise reduction system establishes a new standard for excellence in real time noise filter performance. The Decimator ProRackG was designed to provide the maximum possible performance in a rack mount dual channel noise reduction system designed specifically for extremely high gain guitar amplifiers. The Decimator ProRackG is designed with 2 channels of single ended noise suppression configured specifically for high gain guitar applications allowing one channel to deliver noise reduction for the guitar directly and a second channel to eliminate amplifier gain noise. A separate guitar buffer input and output optimizes your guitar signal. Channel one eliminates 50 or 60 cycle hum, buzz, stage light noise and any other noise picked up directly by the instrument. The ProRack channel one output drives the front end of your guitar amplifier and eliminates all of the input noise picked up by the guitar. The control circuit of the second channel detects and tracks the guitar signal directly while the signal processing audio chain is patched into the effects loop of the high gain guitar amplifier. Now you can quiet down even the most insane amounts of noise with any amplifier system incorporating a series effects loop. The Decimator ProRackG will also solve the typical high gain feedback or squealing problem high gain guitar players fight. You know how difficult this problem can be. You play staccato notes and in between each note you have a squeal or burst of feedback that's virtually impossible to control. Problem solved with the Decimator ProRackG. By proper setting of the threshold for channel one and channel two you can eliminate this problem for good. The Decimator ProRackG has dual processing channels incorporating both low-level downward expansion and dynamically controlled low-pass filtering in a very easy to use single rack space unit. The ProRackG is based on ISP Technologies patent pending "Time Vector Processing," which provides the most adaptively dynamic release response characteristics of any real time noise reduction system. The Time Vector Processing dynamic response circuit is used to control the release time constant of both the downward expander and dynamic filter. Not only does the Decimator ProRackG deliver the most stunning noise reduction, it also solves the problem of needing to adjust the Threshold setting every time you change gain or switch channels. By using the input guitar signal to drive both channels' level detection circuitry, the ProRackG noise filter system needs no other adjustments once the thresholds are set based on the guitar input. This will give you the correct threshold with clean, crunch and even monstrous amounts of gain and if you use pedals you can insert them in the loop between the output of the Decimator Channel 1 and the input of the guitar amplifier. |

Recognizing that there are many general gating applications which require equipment that is simple to operate and which occupies the minimum of rack space, Drawmer designed the DS404 Quad Noise Gate utilizing new and unique Program Adaptive circuitry. This makes the DS404 ideally suited for use over a wide range of input signals, ranging from drums and other percussive instruments through to vocals, pianos and even complete mixes. Facilities available on the DS404 include: Frequency Sensitive. The provision of variable Low-Pass and High-Pass Filters allows without compromise frequency selective gating. The unit can be switched for either Internal or External Key source and the KEY LISTEN facility enables monitoring of the filter setting. Hard/Soft Gating. Each channel of the DS404 can be operated as a HARD or SOFT gate, providing quite different characteristics. Two coloured LEDs clearly indicate mode status._In the HARD mode the DS404 offers ultra-fast response time, stable triggering with complete freedom from chatter around threshold and a specialized release contour which is ideally suited to drums and other percussive material._In the SOFT mode the DS404 becomes a versatile Expander capable of handling vocals and sub mixes. Drawmer's unique 'Programme Adaptive' circuitry is used to optimise the attack time and ratio as well has having some effect on the manual release setting . A more gentle release characteristic is utilized to complement the SOFT gate Threshold. A fully variable threshold control provides a range from +20dB to -70dB. Release Control. A fully variable release control is provided with release times from 10 ms to 5 sec to ensure that essential envelope control is not sacrificed in exchange for an economy in rack space. Attenuation Range. The DS404 has switchable attenuation between 90dB and 20dB to allow for applications where a complete mute is not desired. Chain Linking. Operating the LINK control switches the channel on the right to SLAVE operation, where its gating mode, threshold and envelope characteristics are controlled by the MASTER (left) channel. Any adjacent three channels or two stereo pairs can be linked in this way for use in any conceivable situation where linking may be required. LED Displays. Drawmer's familiar tri-colour LED display is once again utilized as the optimum method for indicating the envelope status for each channel. Input/Output. The DS404 is provided with balanced inputs and outputs on XLR connections. |

The Pros:
- The bass is simply awesome, deep and pwerful
- The clarity of the DT990s is superb. You hear everything, whether you want to or not
- The way guitars and cymbals sound through the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Premium Headphones is simply amazing
- Listening to songs through these headphones has made some songs sound completely different, quite amazing
- The solidity of construction coupled with excellent sound make them a bargain.
The Cons:
- these headphones need an amp. If you try to power them off an mp3 player or a sound card you may be disappointed
- These headphones are on the expensive side but i think you will see it is money well spent
- Straight out of the box I found the DT990 a little wooly in the bass.
