Need help with Logitech USB mic - Please read.?
Ok, so I've just bought this microphone: http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/610576/Logitech-USB-Desktop-Microphone/Product.html
Today, I installed it, and all it's drivers, no fuss at all. It's a great piece of kit except for one thing, it just doesn't pick up anything very well. I've talked loudly into it from centimetres away , yet on the playback its still fairly quiet. Does anyone know if there is a way to make it record louder? Or indeed, I may have mucked up and not set it as my microphone, and it's trying to record through my laptop mic, so it'd be cool if you guys let me know how to check that too. (I'm using 32bit Windows 7 Home Premium)

in your sound settings, there should be a slider for mic input.
edit:: sound settings will show which device you have set as your default input as well.
