Beta Testing Games – How To Apply For A Beta Game Tester Job

Do you love playing video games, until your parents worry so much about your future? Well, tell them they don't need to worry anymore. Today you can get a salary equal to a MBA graduated student for just playing games.

1. How Much Can You Get Paid?

As game tester your salary can range anywhere around $15,000 to $80,000 per year. Gaming companies need as much professional game testers as available to test and measure customers' expectation for their future released games.

2. What Do You Need?

Becoming a game tester is not as easy as just playing the games, finishing it and then giving a comment. You also need to understand some technical know-how about the game and the console you play.

You need at least 18 years old. If you are still in college, luckily this can be a part-time job for you. As a part-time game tester you can earn salary anywhere around $1500 to $5000.

Also you will need professional resume. So you had better start to learn how to write a good resume. One simple trick that can enhance the effectiveness of your resume is by writing your experiences. You can start with writing review about various games in your blog.

This blog and reviews you have written will increase your reputation in front of your recruiters later on.

3. How To Apply

You can start visiting various game expos; usually they have a stand where you can apply as a beta tester. Just go directly to the stand and give your resume.

Usually they will give small tasks of finding small game bugs and defects that you can do at home. If you are good they will hire you immediately the next week.

Also when writing your review, it is a good idea to write also about possible customers' concern and expectation. By doing the extra mile, you will stand out from the rest of the packs.

Today, the video game industry is a billion dollar industry and millions of dollars are pumped into each video game. The opportunities to work in the gaming industry is huge and the first step to doing that is working as a beta game tester.
