To correctly mount a microphone, simply weave it through the parallel, high-quality, braid-covered elastic bands of each ring, two by two. Adjustable Weight SupportThe central articulated support can be adjusted and moved along a hexagonal rod to compensate for any imbalance in the set-up's center of gravity. For heavier mics, insert the body of the mic into the bands without weaving, to retain the elasticity. I have a Madcat and like it very much because it fits in my hand very comfortably, easy to do hand effects and very rugged. Feedback with the Madcat is non-existent because it is completely cupped in your hands. The sound is pretty clean, it won't give you that gritty blues sound, and since most of the stuff I do play out on is either rock-ish, folk-ish or country-ish the sound suites me fine. The best thing I like about the mic is you almost forget you have it in your hands.
