This boost in the microphone output allows the user to reduce the camera's preamp level (or mic-input level), effectively reducing the amount of noise generated by the camera's comparatively low quality audio circuitry.The microphone uses a standard sized shoe mount for on camera use, and features a 3/8" thread in the base of the mount for easy boom pole mounting. External Mic Plugged into iPhone for audio recording
am using Iphone. The external microphone must be designed to be compatible with the iPhone headphone jack or dock connector, such as earplugs or authorized Apple brand, and marked Apple "Works with iPhone" logo of the third-party accessories. But it not create a voice, May be some issue with this. Please help me. Thanks.

You need to check the left side of the main screen, tap the "Voice memo" to enter Main Menu. Entered, the user can begin by sources close to the microphone to adjust the recording level, you want to get better sound quality should be the volume indicator is between-3dB and 0dB recording.
