I am just looking to start recording my own acoustic stuff at home.
Most of this stuff looks good. Make sure that you have another HD to use for the cap and the saves on, don't use it on your primary os hd. Also, disable all non essentials, including nic, on your computer. Make sure you have a tight room to sound proof, if you want to go that far.( I recommend the bathroom because of the tiles, if you have it.) For a quick sound damp, use blankets, comforter, on the wall, it will help with the accoustic. Try to record with no effects, then you can use processors to change the flavors. If you are doing accoustic, lower the bass, 50% mid, and about 70 to 80% the highs, to give it a nice clean envelope sound. You have a very large diaphragm on that mike, so it will be rich with the low end of your vocals, but with the instrument, I really would lower the bass response on the eq pick-up of the board. Also, try not to erase and over dub a track, always use another track, that way, you can experiment with many versions of your recordings. Also look into using a chorus if you are gonna use accoustic. We use it in our studio to give it a bit of melodic differences. Have Fun!!!!! You picked a good choice,
