i need to remove my microphone?
i just bought this stupid Logitech ClearChat Style headphones and i dont need the microphone AT ALL. how can i remove it without hurting the earphones?
To be honest, removing it isn't always the best option. For headphones without a microphone you can always use any headset you may have for an iPod or portable CD player, and odds are you probably have better quality headphones for one of those. Most computers have a headphone jack on the front of the computer, or your speakers may have the jack you would need. If you need an extension plug you can find one at most stores.
From what I can tell you can store the microphone to the side and it will remain out of view and won't pick up your voice. You may want to even go into sound settings and turn off the microphone that way.
If indeed you are really intent on removing the microphone, you could simply break it, but you will most likely have exposed wires. you could clip them, but the headset will never look as clean as it did.
