If I Do, What Kind?
That first one's not a microphone, that's a pop filter. You put that in front of a mic to reduce harsh sound due to aspirated plosives. See here:

These are common in the studio, rarely seen on-stage.
The second one is actually a mic -- good job. They claim it comes with an 15 ft. XLR to 1/8" cable, and a 1/8" to 1/4" adaptor. What's this going into? If you're feeding a mixer or computer with 1/4" or 1/8" jack, you're golden. If you're feeding something that uses XLR jacks, you'll need an XLR to XLR cable:

Is that a good mic for rapping? It's ok... you could do much worse. And better... I mean, you can spend $50 on a vocal mic, and you can spend $5,000 on a vocal mic. That's a dynamic mic, which means it's not going to give you the detail you'd get with a condenser mic. But dynamics are pretty common as stage mics... you can drop them and they probably don't break. Condenser's tend to be fragile. So for starting out, yeah, this one's fine. I have two very similar to that, also Shures, that I use for stage mics, and occasionally for field recording with a computer.
