What is the 6 pin connector labeled " Power Plug" under my dash on my 2005 dodge 1500 for?
It is under the steering wheel near the Data link Connector . It has a plastic "blank" plugged into it now and it says "power plug" on it. There is 1 red and 1 white wire going to it. It has 6 pins.
What is it for and how can I use it?
try this, follow the harness up and see where it goes to and see if it runs in to the original wiring harness,that might answer your question on what it is,it may bea factory harness that isn't being used on it and has dropped down ,some came with optional wiring for adding options to it that the factory didn't install on it,good luck.
