Problems with USB Cardioid Condenser Microphone?
Having issues with brand new recording microphone, the Eagletone UM30 Studio USB Cardioid Condenser Microphone.
Hooked it up with the USB to my PC, Windows XP and I am getting a ringing sound in the background when recording lyrics to music.
What can I do, is it the Mic itself? Do all brands of USB mics have these types of issues? Are there any better brands or options?

First of all, this is not something I have ever experienced with USB mics.
You say it only happens when you are recording vocals on to a music background.
I assume you have eliminated all actual room sounds.
How are you playing back the music as you record your vocal? You really need closed earphones that do not leak any sound that the mic could pickup and loop around.
Another possible cause could be you are over-modulating your mic. Many studio style mics can be easily overloaded by speaking or singing to loudly and too close to the mic. Watch your VU meter.
If there is no "ringing" when you make a straight recording it indicates the problem is with your recording software or how it is configured.
My best studio condenser mic is the USB version of the Samson C30U with which I am quite happy.
